*A note on pricing: LCA is making on-going efforts to keep prices low, even though the cost of everything has escalated so much in recent months. Subsequently, the price per head charged by campsites has increased, which has an immediate affect on camp costs.
LCA is committed to making camps financially accessible for everyone. If you would like to talk about setting up a payment plan, or sponsoring campers to attend camp, please contact us at [email protected] today.

About Children's Camp
Campers are placed in a cabin ‘family’ — one senior leader, two junior leaders and up to 8 campers of the same gender. Most activities are done in these cabin groups, however, leaders sleep in separate cabins.
The character and behaviour of the Senior and Junior leaders has a significant influence on the campers in their care and creates a supportive and caring environment.

Camps also consists of a ‘Camp Mum’ and ‘Camp Dad’, music and craft leaders, and Camp Organisers. Leaders are called by family titles of ‘Aunty’, ‘Uncle’, ‘Mum and Dad’ to help encourage the ‘family atmosphere’ of the camps. Often there is a team of around 30 leaders and approximately 40 campers.
Over the week, the campers engage in activities such as sports, craft, studies, games, banner designing, singing, concerts and more — assisted, encouraged and supervised full-time by the camp leaders.

Throughout the camp, leaders take time to encourage and affirm each child in their cabin family — sometimes with hand-written notes, or ‘warm fuzzies’. Campers are encouraged to write similar notes of encouragement for each other throughout the week. These can become great mementos of new friends made and the fun memories they've created together.
All leaders are required to be committed in their faith, be active church participants, hold a current Working With Children Check and have the approval of the Life Camps Australia Board.

Testimonies about Children's Camp
"For the past 10 years, we have been 'camp grandparents/prayer warriors' at 2C's camps (Childrens Camps). For the first few years several of our own grandchildren joined us and were supported in their faith through the camp experience. To our great joy more recently, two of our grandsons, have returned as junior leaders, having had wonderful memories of 2C's themselves, and wanting to provide the same experience for younger kids. They have taken the Leaders in Training course, and are keen to continue leading in future. What a blessing Life Camps has been in our family!"
"My first time at camp with Life Camps Australia was 2C's (Childrens Camp) earlier this year. I have been involved in other camps in many different ways throughout my life, but what I noticed that was different about this camp is I immediately felt like I had been adopted into a huge loving family! There was a closeness between staff and campers that I have not had made connections that would last far beyond the week we spent together. I will always remember my Camp Mum, Camp Dad, Happy Chappy, and all the rest of my camp family!"
